The cloud is irrelevant....it is the scintillation that shows what it is. It is a neutron bomb....why it was used and who exactly dropped it is not what is being debated. Scintillation....it really sucks to know that the world is/was/has been using a weapon like this.

Alias_Unknown

You're a fucking idiot.

That looked nothing like a nuclear weapon, neutron or otherwise. You can see smoke rising from a fire burning in the beginning.

That's most likely some sort of chemical processing of refining facility, or a fuel or ammo storage. I'm guessing it's more along the lines of a large volatile liquid than anything, based on the characteristics of the initial explosion.

Further more there was no flash when the main explosion occured, if it was nuclear there would have been a great release of x ray, neautron, ultra violet and gamma rays. That's just not present in the video.

Finally, how would the camera man survive, unshielded so near the blast zone of a highly sophisticated, human cell destroying bomb.

If it were a true neutron bomb, ( of I'd estimate 5 kilotons or less) than the uploader would not have been stable enough to operate a computer.

So Fuck off with this bullshit.

would you say this is your:

  • 'standard angry debunk response'

or more of a :

  • 'i'm really hurt and offended by the nuke bunker buster'

response?

  • :; D

It is a neutron bomb...and you don't need to now WHY it was used (how could you have that info anyway) and you also never said it was nuclear because of the cloud...so Alias_unknown you need to have a better reason other than "it couldn't be". Or "because the cameraman would be too unstable" (good one). The scintillation is your proton bombardment...that makes it neutron bomb.

Alias_Unknown

I think I gave some good reasons other than "it couldn't be".

The camera man would be dead if he was that exposed to a neutron explosion, he would start experiencing cell death to the affected areas within hours. A neutron bomb is designed to destroy all organic matter within its radius.

Surviving by hiding behind a small stone ledge would be a pretty big flaw for that kind of weapon.

After reviewing the video again, I'm pretty confident to conclude it was an ammo dump. I don't see the scintillation that you're referring too. But I do see a lot of debris being ejected from the explosion. If you look closely these resemble live ammunition that has cooked off and thrown far by the blast. You can also see the shrapnel impacting the ground over the next few seconds.

I don't see anything resembling the scintillation of an actual nuclear explosion. also the stem of the mushroom cloud has a unique reaction occurring in it that resembles more of a slow chemical burn than anything else.

Finally, a neutron bomb requires a thermonuclear detonation to take place, the fusion products released would trip sensors in the surrounding countries and be picked up by several high tech satellites designed solely to find atmospheric detonations.

If a nuclear weapon was used in an act of aggression, it would be only the third time in history. This would be huge news and would not be able to be hidden from the rest of the world.

Alias_Unknown

More along the lines of the former, but include drunk an irritated.

It's stupid to claim it's a nuclear explosion just because it leaves a small mushroom cloud.

Finally, in respect to your response, why would they use a neutron bunker buster bomb? The neutron flux wouldn't penetrate the solid rock very far, and the explosion would be rather insignificant for the desired result.
