My cell phone is constantly roaming when I am at home or nearly anywhere in my home town. I contacted the carrier and my home is within a mile of five of their cell phone towers. Sometimes when I am away from home the signal goes to 4G but then a moment later is back to roaming. If I leave the city and go to other cities I don't have this problem. I am thinking that maybe I am connecting to a stingray type surveillance unit. As my phone is constantly asking me to allow data access, when I have a global data plan. Data access is already allowed on my carrier or any other cooperating carriers towers, which is most of them. I am uncomfortable with this. I feel like I'm being stalked. Top it all off with this morning, when I turned on my laptop, i had windows update installing fifty four thousand updates. I had disabled windows update. What the fuck is going on? Crazy times
