Are your comments getting instantly downvoted? Mine are. ( conspiracy )

After I made this fun little comment I started to get instantly downvoted on every comment that I make. I think that someone has created a downvote bot that targets certain people. Whenever I post a comment, it shows: "0 points" instantly. Like, the second I hit the button: instant downvote. It happens too fast for it to be a human. A human wouldn't even have time to read my reply, let alone downvote it.

So, I ask: is anyone else having their comments instantly downvoted?

EDIT: This appears to be the result of a change made by admin in user voting behavior. Everyone's comments start at 0 points now instead of 1. There's a post over in /v/announcements somewhere which explains it...

I also read yesterday that new accounts cannot downvote until they've achieved a 100 comment karma, to prevent trolling.

I expect to see daily changes around here as this place begins to take shape.

All my comments are starting at zero instead of one now. I'm thinking it's a bug. Possibly related to the new requirements of having a certain amount of karma on your account before you can vote, although I thought it was just for downvotes.

edit: Possible, looks like, this is just the new system. No more free votes ha.

Nope, Atko put it in to stop the bots, you can't vote on your stuff anymore. It's temporary though.

I upvoted bright future's comment... not my own stuff. If this is the case, then he might want to put a sticky on the homepage explaining this. I think a lot of people will be confused.

Yes it did. It appears as though when you post something, your personal upvote just isn't showing up, because the votecount is 0|0 instead of +1|-1

Not a bot, because of the bots Atko announced in /v/announcements that you can't vote on your own stuff anymore, meaning it's +0 -0 and not +1 -0 by default. If you try to upvote yourself it goes away when you refresh and doesn't count.

Before this and on Reddit you automatically upvote yourself. Yeah, everyone is starting at 0 points for now and not 1
