This is the actual Flytape, I had to swap the L with a capital i to make this username. The person using my handle flytape on whoaverse is not me. Please don't allow yourself to be fooled/trolled by the imposter.

If you look at flytape's profile and sort by comments you can see the ridiculous comments they are making that "depleted uranium isn't harmful".

Sorry for wasting your time with this silly post but a lot of people on reddit respect opinion on such things and it bothers me that some neocon is hijacking my conspiracy rep to spread disinfo.

I have gained control of the flytape account. I appreciate this community's support in this matter. Atko verified my reddit identity in reddit before he handed the account over to me. I edited the comments made by the imposter to reflect that those thoughts and words were not my own, however I did leave the original comments intact for public viewing.

Most people are dumber than a box of hammers. I think you're giving them way too much credit. Once Whoaverse gets big enough it won't matter. But, until that happens, there's going to be a lot of cross-over.

That was rather.. pathetic of them. If anyone had any illusions of this being some magical place where trolls and actual shills would be forbidden, I guess you can pretty much abandon that notion.

I still see a lot of potential for this site, and am not ready to give up on the reddit any time soon either. If you have something you care about, whether it be a belief or out of sentiment, it is always worth defending.

since the site first got around on reddit and the like there have been somewhat of an exodus of users coming here just to squat on popular names that they hope they can bank on if/when a mass exodus from reddit actually happens.

It happened with me, as well as a ton of other "powerusers" from reddit.

They posted 4 days ago and not a word since. I find it pretty telling that they used the name of a mod from /r/conspiracy to post disinfo in /v/conspiracy . I highly doubt it was by chance.

If my name was batman or Obama I would chalk it up to coincidence.

I can testify that the user with axolotl_peyotl 's name definitely is an imposter. I have seen him on here straight up claiming to be the same guy and posting antisemitic, inflammatory things. I can post a link to said comments as well if needed. I haven't encountered Flytapes imposter yet, but knowing how much they go after the guy I have no doubt that that is the case.

Both flytape and axolotl_peyotl have been registered by users who are clearly trolling here, and I would say it is probably a good idea to prohibit malicious impersonation.

I guess the best thing would be to send an email to [email protected] where you request to take ownership of the account in question with a link to a reddit thread you made which confirms that you sent an email to whoaverse.
