What I don't like is that SWAT is being used for thing that it shouldn't be used for. Like raiding a persons house because they have a small amount of an 'illegal' plant. When it should just be used in violent confrontations like a hostage situation or someone has barricaded themselves someplace, or a sniper is killing people, etc... These situations it's put to good use but they are raiding places for no good reason just to intimidate and harass people. And it's getting out of hand. I don't mind if they get better training. Maybe it will help them make the right decisions when to use SWAT. But I have my doubts. It's likely they will go after people who own greenhouses and live off the grid. It's happened already in other parts of the country.

I have no problem with the National Guard coordinating exercises with local police - isn't that what they are there for - to assist us domestically if needed? Why do we need Special Forces training or coordinating exercises with our local police? This is what bothers me about all of these reports, if they are indeed true.
