Interesting, although I'm not convinced that this kind of analyze is more than just that: interesting. Also, not being an american makes me not that interested in american politics, only in the statistical and social aspect of the issue.

My problem is that this analyze is unidirectional, in the sense that it's bent on making a statement, not analyzing the different ways this data can be interpreted, which would lacks punch as an editorial but be more truthful. The clickbait-style title should have warned me about this (i just noticed). Good post anyway, very interesting.

jerry

No matter what, it doesn't matter. We could vote for him and he could win by 75%, but due to the electoral college system, its not in our hands.

mankind

Funny thing: the google trends page no longer shows a nice comparison of media articles to web searches.

SolarBaby

I believe it. I think he would have won in 2008 if there had not been a conspiracy against him.

NotAnUndercoverCop

True, I forgot about this youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_WBo4sfmi4

I suggest people who don't believe he was robbed watch it and pay attention.

WhoToldYouThat

I was actually guna post this video, which pretty much hits the same points, but I guess you beat me to it. The more people who realize how the media corrupts our democratic process the better.

SolarBaby

I'm unable to watch that right now but thanks for posting it. I don't know if that video contains it but back during the election season there was some undercover videos from a person who was a Paul supporter that went to the Republican primaries as a volunteer and secretly video-recorded the people running things conspiring to do everything in their power to shut out Ron Paul and his supporters. Truly his own party didst conspire to destroy him.

gimp

The more media coverage he gets, the worse he looks... because his opinions won't be accepted by most people. Unless you're part of the echo chamber who thinks he's awesome, this is pretty obvious.

ocinea

B-but what about how Borat might have felt?

ARRRRGGHH

Yeah. I'm not buying it. From the looks of it they mean Ron Paul would win in a world of positive media coverage. Anyone could win with positive media coverage.

Lurky-McLurksalot

Not surprised. I've noticed how often the media takes his statements out of context and then makes fun of him.
