Elizabeth Warren listed herself for years as a Native American. She did this in several places that have been proven despite her attempts to deny it. Most egregious was a legal directory which was used by firms to find candidates. Having "Native American" listed by her name made her a hot commodity and greatly helped her career. Harvard boasted about her being their "first female person of color" lawyer. It all turned out to be totally fake. She's tried to brush it under the rug and the corporate media has done its part to pretend there is some doubt around the topic, there really is not.

to give credit, this lady actually lived it in real life. Warren just used it to get jobs and went on with her days as a rich white lady.
