This is why censorship is taking hold @ Reddit:

Less than a month ago we were asked to comment on the Executive Order Obama wrote declaring cyber-security a potential National Emergency. Our explanation was that Obama is anticipating the cover-up crowd shifting to blocking the media or other information sources after they lose the battle to block the announcement. Yes, Nibiru is approaching for a passage, but only the cover-up crowd will tell you what this means. No ZetaTalk prophecy. No honest information on how close it is coming from any observatory. Lies of every kind on what is causing the Earth changes. The cover-up, in essence, will continue, or so they hope.

Post-announcement efforts to control the information flow are now underway. The observatory reach of Mauna Kea was recently under attack. Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, was asked to do more than monitor what key words were being shared among FaceBook friends, to identify those users who should be targeted by the cover-up crowd. She was being asked to block them. She refused. Now that her husband, Dave Goldberg, is dead of an obvious blunt force blow to the back of his head, what will she do? Her choices are to comply with demands, work with investigators while hoping her children remain safe, or leave FaceBook. She will likely chose the latter.

Ahabandthewhitegrail

sadly, we few alone don't crush Reddit. It's going to suffer a long, agonizing death.

Skwerley

Let it die, slowly and loudly, like a decoy to attract the facebook sharers and the #instathisorthaters so we can hang out without them for a little bit longer

Ahabandthewhitegrail

You presuppose they'll all come here. I sure hope not.

Skwerley

They will. They find everything. Humanity is like the grey goo from SciFi novels

Reddit is dying. Every few months, the ratchet is turned more tightly in favour of control and corporatisation. It's such a shame for redditors, I hope Voat is paying attention and doesnt make the same mistake.

I don't know much about Aason Schwartz or his colleagues at Reddit, but I find it incredibly hard to believe that he would have wanted this change to take place on the site.

From everything I have read and heard, Pao is exactly the wrong sort to take over and walk in his shoes.
