Standard Field Sobriety tests were created for 0.10 blood alcohol level. Checkpoints are bullshit and there are good cops that refuse to work them.

Please post updates to this when you see them. I'm very interested in groups who are going out of their way to create legal precedent versus "I managed to get my stuff dismissed before it went to court, go me!"

DUI laws are a huge injustice in many ways. First off, the typical legal limit of 0.08 BAC is too low. The original AMA recommendation for "legally drunk" was 0.12 BAC, which is more realistic. What a 0.08 BAC does is increase DUI arrests without decreasing alcohol related traffic deaths. The reason for this is that most drunk drivers who kill people have a BAC far in excess of 0.12. You'll almost never hear about someone who killed someone while driving with a BAC even as high as 0.10. It just doesn't happen.

Secondly, the way DUI laws are enforced are unconstitutional. DUI stops are unreasonable search and seizures, and if they were "drug stops" or "child abuse stops" they wouldn't be allowed to operate.

I don't feel like going into more detail. DUI laws are bullshit and should be reformed.
