I used to mod /r/conspiracy and from my time there I can say that at least at that time the mods were not complicit in anything shady at least not from what I saw in modmail/logs

Also it should be noted that there is no reliable way for anyone but reddit staff to determine the ip addresses of the posters, not even the mods had that capability.

For the audiences benefit, if the ops guy did some hacking/baiting bs, and trapped some IPs through some dedicated stalking, they would probably only reveal VPNs or equivalent.

Then again, i should mention how reddit corp doxed that military base as the chief contributor of all cities, i guess its fair to delineate regular propaganda effort, from that speculatively focused on /r/conspiracy .

I only glanced at the post you linked tbh, but if hes going to go all the way and make such an accusation, hes got the power to justify it, and back it up. Someone saying on voat "i proved all these posters IPs", isnt worth shit without evidence.

Furthermore it sounds like your point that the most crackpot ideas face the most downvotes, as a problem is laughable, the performance of that sub, as a force for The Top Minds Of Reddit (yes i know saying that phrase identifies me as an enemy to fucktards) is in actual fact dependent on the most crackpot ideas not dwarfing the discussion of more pertinent ones.

I personally believe the conspiracy community would be better focusing on the tangible, including the "radically" tangible, things which are too off the wall for most, and not on:

ET's/hyperdimensionals/crypto-terrestrials, occultism, spirituality, gnosticism, alternative history, holographic reality theories, psychic phenomena, alternative heath topics
