Snowden Discussion ( conspiracy )

Anyone else extremely skeptical of the timing of Snowden's Reddit AMA the other day?...Drawing the attention away from the TPP and focusing on the Potemkin Bill to Reform the Patriot Act and allegedly curb the NSA's ability to gather troves of data.

With each appearance of Snowden on popular media outlets, my skepticism and cynicism grows.

I definitely fall into the camp that questions his ability to receive so much popular publicity without being detained/. Whether he is being used by TPTB is obvious, but whether he is aware that he's nothing more than a tool is the question worth asking.

I think you're letting your skepticism get the better of you. The patriot act (or parts of it) is set to expire in a month or so I believe. Congress is going to have to do something about it soon so Snowden took the opportunity to speak out in an effort to increase awareness.

Valid point that I never considered.

He's but a name that the majority of the world, especially the younger generations, admire and respect for his alleged self-sacrificial actions.

It is completely possible that nefarious individuals/parties would pose as Snowden and perpetuate whatever position/rhetoric are deemed appropriate and advantageous at the time.
